So all women know that there are many merits to be found in chocolate. Recent research studies have discovered and touted the many health benefits of chocolate. Not to mention, chocolate makes you happy! It makes you happy to receive a box... and it makes you very happy to eat the WHOLE box, even if it doesn't make your thighs happy later. In fact, Mel Gibson once said... "I’m just starting to scratch the surface of what women really want. I don’t know, but the answer probably lies somewhere between chocolate and conversation."
Believe it or not, there are some things about chocolate that do not count as an advantage. Unfortunately for Caitlin, one such disadvantage involved a big, gooey glop of Hershey's chocolate syrup being squeezed on her head by Ewan 10 minutes before she walked out the door to go to school. In case any of you were wondering, this did not make her happy!

Now, like many of you are probably doing right now... I was contemplating several questions... "Why did Ewan have the Syrup in the first place?" More importantly... "Why did Ewan squeeze the syrup on Caitlin's head?" and probably the most important question of all... "Why the heck did Caitlin stand there and let him squeeze it on her head?". Seriously!!! We paid for several years of karate and self defense and she did not even do an over-head block to deflect the syrup bottle?!?!
"Why use cartridges in battle? I always carry chocolate instead."

There was no time for a bath or hair-washing, so I did my best with a damp wash rag at the kitchen sink. When I felt satisfied that I had removed most of the chocolate syrup from her hair, I sent her to get her shoes and back pack. On her way out the door, I leaned down to give her a kiss on the head and realized that Caitlin smelled really, really good. In fact, she smelled just like a Hershey's chocolate bar!
You guys and chocolate syrup! I remember a story with the carpet too! As for asking why Ewan happened to have a bottle of chocolate syrup...I won't even ask. He is a little boy who knows how to get into stuff! Talk about being a normal annoying little brother! :)
ReplyDeleteYes... My wiley little Ewan squeezed most of a bottle out on Caitlin's floor a few years ago. I found Zoe ripping out tufts of carpet fuzz in her zest to try and eat it clean. Even though I removed Zoe and scrubbed at the floor... there is a nasty looking brown stain on her carpet that looks like something else. :P Ewan definitely has a knack for being that annoying little brother.
