Thanksgiving Day and more

I am Thankful for homemade Apple Pie... Yummy!!

(So I have had this in draft mode since shortly after Thanksgiving... Please forgive the delay... I finally found some time to load the pictures off my camera so that I could add them to my post and publish it).

 Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving arrived and despite all the hardships of late... I have so much to be thankful for this year that I can't possibly list it all. I will give it a try (but please forgive me if  my mommy brain misses something)....

I am thankful for... My beautiful children and husband of course!! All the help we received and are still receiving from family and friends during this time that Mike is injured. Lisa is now "officially" part of our family (even though we always considered her so). My neighbor who is a dear friend and like a sister to me. My family and friends, near and far, and all the joy the bring to my heart every time I hear from them.

My Homemade Cherry Pie

Thanksgiving Dinner at Grandma H.'s House

I am very Thankful for all my dear family and friends,
both near and far!

My Garden...

I turned the smaller raised bed into my tomato area.
I have 3 regular tomato and one cherry tomato plant
that seem to be doing well.

My biggest tomato... can't tell from the picture...
but this guy was huge!

Ewan found a tomato worm near my bushes.
This little worm brought much enjoyment until
he inadvertently expired at the hands of my 4 year old.

Blooms from my Bush beans (green beans)

I love the pretty purple color of these bush beans that I
planted from seed. When you blanch or cook them,
they turn the usual green color.

One of my remaining sweet pea plants...
Moose ate all but three of my pea plants.

Mike's Foot...
Mike's foot is coming along. The incisions are healing better, especially the one on the bottom of his foot. that did not seem to want to heal and became infected. The infection has finally cleared.  We still  have a awhile to go, but he's making progress. Only two pictures to show you today...
